Athletic & Training Background

I am currently active and competing as an amateur in powerlifting, Crossfit, Gracie Jiu Jitsu, golf, and SUP paddleboard. At the University of Indianapolis I played 2 years of D2 football at QB, OLB, and special teams. While in high school I participated and lettered in various sports including: football, baseball, basketball, swimming, golf, track, and wrestling.

Current Role Working with Athletes

In practice I work directly with people and athletes of all age types and skill levels to meet the needs and goals of the patient. While most seek me out for pain and injury treatment, I continue to grow a base of clients whose primary focus is function and performance on and off the field. The majority of athletes I see are local high school and amateur athletes including: Cross-fitters, grapplers, cyclists, sailors, lacrosse players, triathletes, climbers, and more. I am the team Doc for a local Crossfit box as well.

Professional Philosophy

There is no one cure all. There is no magic bullet. There is no cookie cutter approach that always works for everyone. I firmly believe that it takes a customized care approach and patient/client centered care to take someone away from their current condition and move them towards their ultimate goal(s). In practice I have a 3 fold approach to care and coaching. Step 1, get feeling and moving better. Step 2, correct the cause (mechanics, posture, diet, inflammation, etc.). Step 3, Longevity and maintenance care to avoid starting back over at Step 1.

For pain relief and functional improvements I utilize a combination of chiropractic and physical therapy to get a patient feeling better fast. Once a patient feels better I will then focus on functional movements and correcting poor posture and bio-mechanics of the body to fix the root of the problem. Ultimately, I use non-drug, non-surgical, evidence based approaches, to move patients to a higher level of living and functioning.
